Position Scope 

FPS is a global leader in turn-key food freezing and cooling equipment, serving clients across five continents. We are currently seeking a General Worker, Control Panel Focus to assist with general manufacturing tasks, maintain a safe and organized worksite, and support control panel assembly as part of our fast-paced and collaborative production team.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general activities related to the manufacturing industry, such as loading/unloading, lifting, and moving material around the worksite
• Ensure equipment and worksite are organized and free of clutter, rubble, and garbage
• Assist control panel assemblers, and other co-workers.
• Abide by the requirements of WorkSafeBC and the safety manual/procedures
• Ensure all tools are properly maintained and stored 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and abilities

• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods
• Ability to safely operate basic tools and equipment used in a manufacturing environment
• Strong awareness of workplace safety practices and ability to follow WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety procedures
• Willingness to learn new skills, reading electrical schematic drawing and control panel assembler.
• Ability to work collaboratively with control panel assemblers and other team members
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial setting is an asset, but not required
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
