Position Scope
The Service Technician is responsible for independently performing service, maintenance, and repair work on various machines and installations within the food industry. The role also involves leading international contractor teams on-site at customer locations. The primary objective is to ensure the continuity of our customers' production processes by providing high-quality technical support and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities

Perform periodic and preventive maintenance on machines and installations according to schedules and regulations (e.g., freezers, conveyor belts, and related systems).

Inspect equipment for wear, defects, and potential issues.

Perform adjustments and calibrations to ensure optimal performance.

Document and report on work performed and findings.

Troubleshooting:

Analyze technical faults (mechanical, electrical, and control systems) and resolve them efficiently.

Diagnose problems using diagrams, drawings, and other technical documentation.

Replace defective parts and perform repairs.

Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Qualifications & Abilities
-
Completed technical education at MBO level 3/4, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Service Technician, preferably in the food industry or a comparable process industry.

Basic knowledge of control technology (experience with Rockwell or Siemens is an advantage).

Experience with TIG welding is an asset.

Valid VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Valid driver’s license.

Proficient in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Dutch or another language is an advantage.

Willingness to travel and work at different locations (approximately 80% of time on-site, remainder from home).

Flexible regarding working hours and potential overtime.
