Position Scope
We are looking for a competent and self-motivated IT Co-op to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems, and to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, your responsibilities will include maintaining, upgrading and managing our software, hardware and networks. Preference will be given to those who can start immediately. 

Preference will be given to candidates who are available to start immediately.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues encountered by users.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components to support business operations and organizational security.
• Upgrade systems and processes to enhance functionality, performance, and security.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Monitor systems and respond promptly to security, performance, and usability concerns.
• Verify the integrity of data backup and recovery systems.
• Assist with IT infrastructure maintenance and documentation.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and system improvements.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are considered an asset.
• Knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security principles.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to provide limited after-hours support when required.

Required working knowledge:

• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Window Hyper-V Server
• Exchange Server
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Microsoft Office 365 administration

Other preferred knowledge:

• Experience with firewalls
• Routing and VLAN programming
• VoIP and PBX programming
